    Phentermine

Hey!  I went to see the Gastro doctor last monday.  I am concerned about getting kicked out of the military after 13 years of very honorable service because I can't seem to get back within standards after being sedentary for over 2 years due to a few ankle surgeries.  The military has give me till Nov 6 to be within standards.  I am not so much concerned about the weight as I am making the Body fat.  I am currently at 37 and need to be 33 or below.

Long story short, the doctor has given me Phentermine, Byetta, and an 800 calorie diet.

Has/Does anyone take either of these drugs?  How do you deal with the side effects?  Any suggestions on how to get it off by Nov 6th?

I am also doing between 1 and 4 hours of cardio a day.  I jog at least 1 hour, the rest is mainly walking.  Although, I think tomorrow I am going to start intervals.  Sigghhhh I hateeeeeeeeeeeee to run!

    Re: Phentermine

Wow...800 calories and more than 2 hrs cardio sounds extreme. Hopefully you are losing weight and your body isn't going into starvation mode. I have taken Phentermine and have good results. I am very sensitive to it so I have to take half the normal dose. If I take the full amount I get so hyper/speedy feeling that I get sleepy.  Taking half solved that. I have noticed the following (All are to be exprected since it is a stimulant and is addictive.):

    Great appetite suppressant
    Weight comes off fast
    Some irritability
    Need for less sleep
Effectiveness and above 'side effects' waned after 3-4 weeks
Once I quit taking it the weight didn't stay off very well

    Best of luck!
