    Introduction

    Hello Everyone,

    I am new to the site.  I have spent lots of time trying to find a site that was user friendly and I stumbled across this one this morning.  It seems to be a perfect match for me. 

    I have been manually writing my food journal and trying to keep up with logging the daily activities and I must admit I have not been very consistant.  My physician wants a food journal every two weeks so I think this will be an awesome tool for me.

    Not being very technical I stumbled through the setup but was unable to start logging my intake.  I guess I will have to wait the 24hours for the Advertisements to drop off.?  Any help on knowing how to navigate would be great.

    I am so excited to be loosing weight.  I have lost 10 lbs this last month.  I have been completely unsuccessful for the past 5 years in getting the additional 50 pounds I put on while taking a 7 month round of prednisone.  I put 50 lbs on in a matter of 4-6 weeks 5 years ago and it just wants to stick around.  I am determined to loose 50lbs by my 50th birthday!

    If you have any suggestions for how to use this site for maximum results I would appreciate any feedback.

    Rose,

     

    The way I figured it out was doing the search for food.  If the Item was there you highlight it and and the bottom of the search there is an add to Food Log.  Then if I could not find what I was looking for or somthing similar to it I would use the create food option and then look at the nutritional facts and enter it in my self.  This will cause it to go to your pantry.  Once in your Pantry you can click it's add to food lok button and there you have it in a nutshell.  The same goes if you eat out at one of the restaurants listed in the DB.

    Thanks Tom,

     

    I messed around 4 hours yesterday and finally figured it out.  Lots of info and I am sure it will become easier to navigate.  It takes quite a bit of time to set it up buy I think it will be really great.

    I am trying to find some listings for wine any suggestions.

    Did you set a weight goal yet? Did you figure out how to log your intake yet?
