You should set you activity level at Lightly Active. This setting will incorporate your day to day activities but doesn't incorporate any exercise.
Moderately Active would incorporate about 30 minutes of activity every other day.

Another note...the new gauges don't seem impacted by exercise at all. :( An hour of spinning class but I am still showing 200 over for the day.
Go check it out now! I've factored in any exercise into your CCFP gauges so you should now see the effects of any exercise you do. Keep up that spinning class, that's a lot ...

If you plan on tracking your activities then you should set your Activity Level to lightly active. This setting will take into account all your everyday activites such as house/yard work. Then, what you would want to do is track your walks, jogs, and aerobic exercises in your activity log.

I'm going to test the theory for a while and see how the heart rate monitor and just using the pull down menu compare for calories burned. I'll stick it up on my blog for anyone who is interested.

It is pretty slick the way that the system takes your current weight into account. (Only wish that the system could recognize the heat factor....) Doesn't it affect the amount of calories burned when the temperature is high.....like 85+? Perhaps that is just wishful thinking....

I should be able to add Pilates to the list of exercises; I think I have the METs value for Pilates but will have to bounce it against a couple more sites (and hopefully find something legitimate) before adding it.
Adding custom exercises is a great idea but difficult to implement based on the way the database is currently structured. ...

Also, for those of us who calculate calories on another site--because our exercise isn't in the list or we have a heart rate monitor that tracks calories burned--could you add a box for inputting a text tag (exercise or whatever we want) and an associated number of calories ...

I am using Microsoft Internet Explorer... I am not sure if I have javascript disabled...do you know where I go to check that? (I am a little computer illiterate...) :) I have searched for and added foods to my food log and that seems to work just fine... Help!! :)

I just joined today and I am trying to enter the mile that I ran this morning into my Excercise Daily Log. But when I click on Add New Excercise Entry, it just reverts back to the same screen and doesnt let me add anything... is this happening for anyone else? Am I missing something? I tried to send an e mail to the company ...
