  • food log date

I can't seem to add foods to today's (1-1-09) food log,  The date automatically comes up 1-2-09 and when I change it to 1-1-09 and then click add, it goes ahead and adds it to 1-2-09.  I'm in PST time and it's 9:18 pm.  if that makes a difference, but it hasn't seemed to in the past.  Thanks for the help

  • Re: Searching...

Good idea on searching the Pantry.  I'll look into that and work on incorporating it.  I was actually planning on creating a food history table that would appear as a new tab in the nutrition facts label.  Something I think everyone would find useful in one way or another...how many candy bars did you eat over the past 3 ...

  • Re: Updated Pantry & Activity Log

HeeHee: An observation I made when adding foods is the dialog box.  I like the one in the food log that is used to update a food better than the others.  The main thing I like is that I can add measurements out to 2 decimals.  The others round up to one.  I like the conversion table in it as well. Are you ...

  • Re: Keep yourself honest - share your Food Log!

Yes.  You can add a friend's Pantry item to your Food Log.  However, it will not show up in your Pantry.  I'm planning on adding a Favorites button to the friends food log page so that you can save their foods to your pantry.  Probably be done over the weekend. Louis

  • Keep yourself honest - share your Food Log!

One of the most important things you can do when striving for a particularly hard goal is to let other people know about it.  I guess its some sort of psychological thingy where we try that much harder not to fail when we know our friends know what we are trying to accomplish. So, I'd like to introduce a new feature that will help bring your ...

  • Re: New Look for Food Log

Those are going to be on the new Diet Summary page (its on the left hand sidebar in the Food Log and doesn't go anywhere yet).  I'm working on this page and expect to have it up and running in a few weeks.  Basically, this will be the go-to page for everything related to your diet, including the calories for today breakdown. The Water ...

  • FoodsDatabase DownTime

This weekend (February 23-24) the FoodsDatabase website will be off-line.  Unfortunately, this means the website won't be accessible (if you try to visit www.foodsdatabase.com you'll probably see a generic can't find this website message).  I'm hoping two days will be enough time, but as everyone knows, the best laid plans.....  If ...

  • Re: Nutrients

Another good idea, but this is pretty difficult to implement.  It's possible, but extremely taxing on the server that is hosting FoodsDatabase.  Since I'm ''small-time'' the server is one that is affordable for me and works good on a day to day basis as long as things don't get too complicated (programming wise).  I'm considering ...

  • Re: Nutrients

The big problem with the food log is that most users are only interested in seeing the core nutrients (calories, fats, carbs, protein) and aren't as interested in the 25+ vitamins and minerals.  So, what you see today is a sort of compromise.  Each additional nutrient displayed adds on to the time it takes to load the page, and for a ...

  • Re: Weight Watcher (ww) data

You may have noticed that your Food Log now displays a daily total for WW points.  For right now, that's the best I can do.  I'll keep in mind your suggestion on providing a breakdown by meal and during a revision to the Food Log will look into implementing this. Good luck with your weight lose...new year, new start!!! Louis
