  • Updates to Activity Log

I finished up a couple of updates to the Activity Log a week or so ago and wanted to give a brief overview of what has changed.  If anyone has any suggestions or criticisms, I’m always listening! The Activity Log has been updated to match the style of the food search page, meaning that the commands are now at the top of the log instead of ...

  • Vitamin Analysis

Man, its been a while since I added some news!  Not that I haven't been working on the site, but most of the changes over the last few months were updates to boring pages like the homepage, login/logout pages, contact pages, etc., bringing them up to date with the new site theme i'm working on. But I always love to introduce something new, ...

  • Recipe Box updated

The recipe box page has been updated to reflect the new site design that I've been slowly but surely working on.  You'll notice that it pretty much works in the same manner as the Pantry.  The only big difference is that you can only add one recipe at a time to your Food Log, whereas in the Pantry you can bulk add a bunch of seperate ...

  • Updated Pantry & Activity Log

I've been kind of busy working on new pages, fixing errors, and answering questions that I forgot to add posts for the Activity Log / Pantry / Create Food pages...whoops! Activity Log Anyways, it started with the new Activity Log.  New layout which I think is a lot slicker than before...I think.  Plus, you can now add an activity to ...

  • What's Left Gauges update

You may have noticed (or maybe you haven't ) that the Calories, Carbohydrates, Fat, and Protein gauges on the Diet Summary page are now working in reverse.  This is intentional and a result of a little more thought into the whole purpose of the gauges AND the help of a fellow FoodsDatabase member (thanks karenmmoy). Previously, the needle ...

  • Save Cookbook Recipes

Happy to announce that you can now save the recipes in the FoodsDatabase cookbook to your own personal Recipe Box.  You can also directly add a recipe to your Food Log as well.  Simply click on the orange options dropdown at the top right of the recipe.  Printing to come in a few short days. • Create Recipes

Just a quick note that the Recipe Creator page is back online.  It did take a little longer than expected, mostly because I had to integrate a way to manually enter in the nutritional values of a food if a member doesn't want to search for each ingredient (although searching for ingredients is still the preferred method as it will lead ...

  • Keep yourself honest - share your Food Log!

One of the most important things you can do when striving for a particularly hard goal is to let other people know about it.  I guess its some sort of psychological thingy where we try that much harder not to fail when we know our friends know what we are trying to accomplish. So, I'd like to introduce a new feature that will help bring your ...

  • Updated Pantry

Just finished my update to the Pantry...you can now create shelves and catagorize all your foods in any way you like.  This should make it easier to quickly find your custom-created and favorite foods (which are now combined together), especially for those of you with 50+ foods in your Pantry! I've got a couple more tweeks to take care of on ...

  • Check out the Activity Log

Long overdo, but ready nonetheless, the Activiy Log is up and running.  I've already added a ton of instructions on how to use the log so no sense rehashing old news. I just want to point out that the Activity Log really does show you how important exercise is to any successful diet plan.  Yeah, you've probably heard that a million ...
